XL obtain its e-Money (Electronic Money) License from the Central Bank of Indonesia, this service is a micro payment instruments that would enable our subscribers to deal with small commercial transactions i.e. to pay goods/services, bills and purchase physical/virtual goods through their mobile phone cashless, by SIM registration to the service.

This service provides ease to Overseas Indonesian Workers that are Celcom subscribers to instantly and safely transfer funds through their cellular phones. The new company logo was launched by adding Axiata logo to the existing logo as a sign of added synergy with Axiata.

XL officially announced a change of name from PT Excelcomindo Pratama Tbk to PT XL Axiata Tbk that takes effect on this date. AXIS and XL signed a national roaming agreement - a first in Indonesia. The technical implementation of the roaming agreement shall be in line with regulations set by the government.
