Jakarta, June 21, 2013. PT XL Axiata Tbk (XL) works together with Bima & Equity Life Indonesia launched XL Insurance service for all Pre-Paid XL customers. Life insurance coverage up to Rp 5 million is given free to all Pre-Paid XL users with age between 17 to 59 years. Customer simply register to UMB *123*500#, and the total amount of life insurance will automatically be given every month. All of the Pre-Paid XL customers can enjoy this service starting May 31, 2013.
XL Marketing Director, Nicanor V. Santiago III stated, "This life insurance is a form of appreciation from XL to our loyal customers. Life insurance is one important life protection that has not been widely known to the public. Through this service, customer could get a free life protection in an easy way. We hope, with this ease, customer's wants and needs of security can be met and increase their loyalty to XL."
The amount of life insurance protection for XL customers will be given in stages, starting from Rp 500,000. After registering and completing the data requested, the customer only needs to use the talktime with a predetermined nominal amount consistently each month to then obtain life insurance protection in the next month. For every talktime use of Rp 30.000,- to Rp 39.999,- per month, customers will get insurance coverage amounting Rp 500.000,-. For talktime use of Rp 40.000,- to Rp 49.999,- per month, customers will get life insurance protection amounting Rp 750.000,-. And for talktime use of Rp 50.000,- or more per month, customers will get life insurance protection amounting Rp 1.000.000,-. This total protection will be acummulated every month based on the talktime used until the total amount of protection reach the number of Rp 5 million. After the protection reach that number, customers only need to use the talktime consistenly every month with minimum amount of Rp 25.000,-.
If the customer's talktime use is less than Rp 25.000,- per month for 3 months in a row, then in the fourth month, customer's life insurance protection will return to zero. To re-obtain the insurance coverage, customers simply use the talktime at least Rp 30.000,- as determined, without any need to re-register.
With the protection of life insurance owned by the customer, if the customer dies then the family listed as heir can make a claim no later than 90 days from the date of death by contacting XL Customer Service at 817. XL Customer Service Officer will provide information regarding claims submission requirements and information about the XL Center that designated for claims handling.
The terms for claim is the heir required to include customer-related death certificates, heir's ID Card, and a proof of family relationship with the related customer (example: birth certificate, family card, marriage certificate). During reimbursement process, XL Bima agent will continue to coordinate with the related insurance party until the claims have been distributed to the heir.
