Program Requirements >

  • Must be an XL customer.

  • Must be at least 21 years old.

  • Have registered and paid Cigna Holiday Protection Program *123*8585# or *123*120#

Insurance protection does not apply and allowance will not be given by the insurer if the occurrence of death or medical expense, directly or indirectly, caused by these followings:

  • War (with or without war declaration), invasion of a foreign country to one country, hostility of one country with another country, civil war, rebellion, revolution, mischief, riot, military action or coup d’etat, as well as terrorism.
  • Involvement of the insured in military service, in the armed forces or an international institution.
  • Suicide attempt or other similar attempts, either conscious or unconscious, with an intention to commit suicide.
  • Influenced by alcohol and drugs, unless proven that the drug is being used under doctor’s direction and not associated with drug addiction treatment.
  • The insured committed or participated in an act that is against the law and/or the valid regulations in the country where bodily injury occurred.
  • The insured’s involvement in dangerous activities (or participate in a special training for that matter), including but not limited to: diving using respiratory tools; mountain climbing using ropes or navigator; potholing; sky diving; hang gliding; winter sports that involve ice or snow, including but not limited to: ice skiing and sledding, ice hockey, bungee jumping; as well as professional sports or other sports that use particular vehicle.
  • The insured’s involvement in aviation other than as a passenger who pays in a commercial plane with permanent wings that was provided and operated by an airline or aircraft leasing company with a permit to regularly fly passengers who pay; or in a helicopter that was provided and operated by an airline, as long as the helicopter only operates at commercial airports and/or permitted helipads.
  • Everything that is related to pregnancy, childbirth, miscarriage, and all its complications.
  • Mental and psychiatric disorder or mental illness.
  • Nuclear and radiation reactions and contaminated by radioactive.
  • Hospitalized medical treatment for routine medical check-up or other check-ups that are not caused by accidents, or hospitalization that is only for treatment, healing, rehabilitation, rest, or further treatment.
  • Hospitalization that is being committed by the insured outside hospital.

  • What is Holiday Protection?
    Holiday Protection is an insurance program that provides protection of the accident that occurs to XL customers while outside (on a business trip, vacation, or commute), or while at home.
  • How are the premium cost, validity period, and Holiday Protection payment?
    With only a premium of IDR10,000, your trip has been protected by Holiday Protection for 14 days since the premium payment that you have made via XL Tunai.
  • What are the benefits of Holiday Protection?
    • Accidental Death Benefit
      If the insured dies due to an accident, then the insurer will pay a death benefit of IDR50,000,000 per insured.

    • Accidental Public Transportation and/or Private Vehicle Death Benefit
      If the insured dies due to an accident that occurs while the insured on a public transport and/or private vehicle, then the insurer will pay a death benefit of IDR100,000,000 per insured.

    • Accidental Medical Expense Benefit
      If the insured experiences an accident and causes the insured to need a medical expense in 14 days since the validity date of insurance, then the insurer will pay a medical expense benefit of IDR250,000 per day or an outpatient benefit. Maximum benefit that will be paid for hospital treatment and outpatient expense is IDR2,500,000 per insurance program period.

    • Double Coverage
      The insured can be double insured in the insurance program, and if that occurs, then maximum accidental death benefit that will be paid is IDR100,000,000 per insured, maximum accidental public transportation and/or private vehicle death benefit that will be paid is IDR200,000,000 per insured, and maximum hospital treatment and outpatient expense is IDR5,000,000 per insurance program period

  • How to claim Holiday Protection?
    A written notification should be delivered no more than 30 days to PT Asuransi Cigna, Menara Kadin Indonesia, Lantai 6, Jl. HR Rasuna Said Blok X-5, Kav. 02-03, Jakarta 12950, Telephone: (021) 52996011.

    For accidental death claim, the documents that must be submitted are:
    • Death claim form;
    • Death certificate from local government or copy of death certificate from authorized authority;
    • Police certificate;
    • Republic of Indonesia ambassador certificate (if the death occur outside of Republic of Indonesia area);
    • Death certificate from doctor/hospital;
    • Copy of the insured’s identity and copy of family register;
    • Authorization letter to claim from beneficiary (if delegated);
    • Other documents that are needed by the insurer to clarify more of the submitted claim.


    For accidental medical expense claim, the documents that must be submitted are:
    • Medical claim form;
    • Original or copy of legalized invoice and care/treatment details from hospital/doctor;
    • Copy of ambulatory prescription;
    • Copy of the insured’s identity.
