How to Become XL STAR


How To Become XL STAR:

  • You must use XL prepaid with the same number for at least 6 months.
  • After subscribing for 6 months, the minimum usage per month for the last 3 months will be evaluated. You will get STAR based on the usage amount.
  • Your XL STAR membership active period is 3 month and will be evaluated every 3 months.
  • If you are not an XL STAR, you have a chance to be an XL STAR because XL always perform customer¿s eligibility check to become an XL STAR every month. XL will send an information SMS that you have become an XL STAR customer.
  • You will start from XL STAR 1, no matter how much your minimum usage per month. You will be evaluated to be able to get a Star based on your minimum usage.
  • If your minimum amount of usage per month is Rp750.000, you will be submitted to XL Premium program. Click here to learn more about XL Premium.

Terms & Conditions


  • XL STAR program applies for prepaid customers that have been XL customers for at least 6 months and have active status.
  • XL STAR program does not apply for XL staff, postpaid customers, XL Premium customers, VIP/VVIP customers, corporate customers, HAURAA customers, XL Tourist customers, retail outlet, and XL Kita customers.
  • Every month, XL will evaluate the usage of customer that meets the criteria on number 1 & 2 above. If the customer's usage meets the minimum usage criteria, then he/she has the right to be included in XL STAR program. The criteria of minimum usage:
    Minimum usage per month in the last 3 months Rp75.000 – Rp174.999 XL STAR 1
    Minimum usage per month in the last 3 months Rp175.000 – Rp274.999 XL STAR 2
    Minimum usage per month in the last 3 months Rp275.000 – Rp749.999 XL STAR 3

    John has become XL prepaid customer for 12 months. His usage in October, November and December 2012 were IDR80,000, IDR75,000 and IDR100,000. Therefore the minimum monthly usage in the last 3 months commencing from October to December 2012 was IDR75,000, which makes John reserve the right to join XL STAR 1 in January 2013.

  • The value of monthly usage that counts is the usage based on calendar. Example: For usage in January, the usage will be counted from 1st until 31st of January.
  • XL STAR membership active period 3 months, counted since the first month customer became an XL STAR member. After 3 months, XL will reevaluate the customer's minimum usage per month in the last 3 months. From that evaluation result, customer may be:
    • Leveled up to the higher STAR level if his/her minimum usage per month in the last 3 months has increased and meets the criteria of the higher STAR level.
    • Stay in the previous STAR level if his/her minimum usage per month in the last 3 months is equal to the criteria of the current STAR level.
    • Leveled down to the lower STAR level if his/her minimum usage per month in the last 3 months has decreased and under the criteria of the current STAR level.
    • Lost his/her XL STAR membership if his/her minimum usage per month in the last 3 months has decreased and under the criteria to be become an XL STAR member.
  • All new XL STAR members will be starting from XL STAR 1, no matter much their minimum amount of usage per month in the last 3 months. After 3 months and first evaluation, customers can be leveled up or even lost their membership based on point number 5 above.
  • Customer that has been XL STAR member and lost their membership will be treated as a new XL STAR member (starting from XL STAR 1) if the customer becomes XL STAR member again.
  • XL STAR member will receive notification via SMS regarding their XL STAR membership status when becoming XL STAR for the first time or during evaluation (every 3 months). Customer can check their XL STAR membership status by typing 'STAR' and send it to 550 via SMS. Customer will receive SMS regarding their XL STAR membership status.
  • XL STAR member will get privileges, such as service priority at XL Center, Customer Service 817, info about new packages and gadgets, also info about XL partner merchant's promos. The privileges of each XL STAR are different, the more STAR you have, the more priority you will get. XL STAR member can check those service priorities via *123# > My Info > XL STAR, xl.co.id/XLSTAR, or by contacting XL Customer Service at 817.
  • XL reserves the right to make a change on criteria or privileges that are given to XL STAR members without prior notice to the members from time to time.
  • If a customer is proven has misused XL STAR program and/or performed an act that violates XL STAR program, XL has the right to cancel his/her XL STAR membership and revoke all privileges that were given to him/her.
