Terms and Condition

  • Credit limit is not valid while using the International Roaming. It is possible your billing will exceed credit limit. Customer is still requested to pay the full amount of service usage stated within the billing when roaming
  • Voice Mail activation requested by customer subject to Incoming Call tariff from the current country destination / roaming partner
  • Customer is waved from SMS tariff applies in country destination when receive ”SMS Welcome” in country except when roaming partner (Marritime AT&T) charge SMS tariff when receiving SMS. VAS subscriber will receive SMS and subject to SMS VAS (content) tariff

  • To re-activate Voice Mail when returning to Indonesia press *818# (activation is not possible when overseas) starting October 2009
  • While roaming abroad, callers of all incoming calls will not fully appear depends on the facility provided by the roaming partner.
  • While roaming abroad, use setting search Network manual to ensure 1 (one) operator. It is advised to use one roaming partner.
  • While roaming abroad, make sure your GPRS and MMS services are already activated in Indonesia.
  • While roaming abroad, make sure your GPRS setting in your mobile device is “when needed” or it is best to de-activate when GPRS service is not needed.
  • XL gets the billing report from Roaming Partner after 1 - 4 weeks (not real time). Should report from Roaming Partner exceed the limit, XL’s system will automatically block your number without confirmation*). MSISDN can be re-activated after customer makes full payments. *) Except XL Corporate Customer (refer to the contract of agreement).
  • Some mobile devices have automatic setting that activated paid service. Please check and turn off this kind of setting before travelling aboard to avoid billing exceed.
  • XL Billing statement will not show destination numbers of SMS record (incoming and outgoing).
  • Detail billing show time usage referring to local time when it is in use.

HOW TO KEEP SAVING YOUR PHONE CHARGE WHILE OVERSEAS


Preparation before leaving to overseas:

  • On the arrival country if there is no XL Roaming Partner exist, SWITCH OFF certain features that using data charge e.g.: Facebook (FB), Yahoo Messenger (YM), BlackBerry Messenger (BBM), with these steps :
    • Menu/Options
    • Mobile Network
    • Data Services - OFF
  • Use Wi-Fi connection with these steps:
    • Menu/Set up WiFi
    • Next
    • Scan For Network
  • Disable these services (if not being used) : SMS Delivery Report, Voice Mail, Call Divert/Call Forwarding, SMS VAS Subscription(with unreg/stop options).
    Press #818# OK/YES to disable VoiceMail service, press ##002# OK/YES to disable Call Divert/Call Forwarding feature.
    These activated features will expense the Normal International Roaming charge.
  • These activated features will expense the Normal International Roaming charge
  • Call 817 or visit XL Center to activate GPRS International Roaming
  • Checking rate level on arrival country by calling 817, XL Center or www.xl.co.id

Important notice


  • Your usage during overseas may excess your credit limit up to certain amount, regular subscriber will be blocked automatically if the credit limit insufficient
  • Calling to XL customer service will be charged international tariff equally.
  • XL is not responsible to preview details destination number from either SMS or phone activities. This is caused by the billing segment will be sent towards XL Roaming Partner reports.
  • Tariff distinguish prevails if Network/ Operator has been set automatically (not manually)
  • While roaming happens, all phone activities started from receiving/calling, SMS, GPRS, BlackBerry and Data will follow local tariff charge.
  • BlackBerry user will not able to enjoy free unit packages, Data plan or other packages while overseas.
